Welcome to Exeter University Dancesport
We are one of the University's largest societies, catering for anyone and everyone. We teach classes in all the Ballroom and Latin dances, and even Salsa - as well as a weekly salsa social. No matter whether you have danced before, or are a complete beginner, all are welcome. You don't need special shoes, or clothes, you don't even need a partner!
With regular classes with a World Champion coach, and practice sessions alongside technique classes, and socials, we are a very active society, meaning you can join in with us as little or as much as you like. Everyone is very friendly, and dancing is a great way of making friends, and can improve things like communication, team participation and even your memory skills (all very handy for any CV!).
Anyone wishing to take their dancing further can also compete with the Exeter University Team at inter-varsity competitions against other universities such as Bristol, Bath and Southampton. We've even been to Blackpool to compete - the highlight of our year of competitions!

Dancesport at the Forum Opening!
After 3 years of construction the forum project at Exeter University was opened, and members of Dancesport marked the occasion by dancing latin, ballroom and salsa outside the new forum building. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a lot of fun - thank you to all who were involved!!
